Whether at work or at home, dangerous products injure thousands of people every year.  Cases arising from such injuries are called “products liability” lawsuits.  Here are some examples:

• In a car accident, the airbags fail to deploy or the seatbelts break.
• At work, your hand gets caught in an unguarded piece of machinery.
• Your car suddenly accelerates causing an accident with injuries to you or your passengers.
• The chair you are sitting on suddenly collapses.
• A soft drink bottle suddenly explodes.

THE MOST IMPORTANT THING ABOUT SUCH A CASE IS MAKING SURE THAT YOU DO NOT THROW AWAY, REPAIR, RETURN OR IN ANY WAY ALTER THE PRODUCT
 after you or a loved one is injured. 

YOU MUST ALSO KEEP THE RECEIPTS, WARRANTIES, BOXES OR PACKAGING if at all possible.

It is the duty if the manufacturer of a product to ensure that its products are safe. The manufacturer must also ensure that if your use of its product puts you at risk of injury, you are warned of the danger.
